ISLAM-INSPIRED KILLINGS IN NIGERIA IN THE SECOND QUARTER, 2024
As part of our heavy burden of keeping the Church awaken to the
reality of the impact of wrong doctrines (in this case Islam) on the well-being
of our country Nigeria, we again present our quarterly list of attacks carried
out on fellow human beings by people who felt driven to do so primarily by
religious conviction.
Between 31st March (when we had the last compilation)
and Saturday June 30, sixty-one (61) attacks were carried out affecting over a
thousand people. Five hundred and twenty-two
(522) people were killed, while another five hundred and forty (540) were
wounded or maimed to various degrees. As
usual, the list was extracted from the website of TheReligionofPeace https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
As we always remind, though these attacks are inspired by Islam,
the victims cut across all religions. In
fact, it has been suggested that the direct perpetrators are mere tools in the
hands of foreign interests who use the resulting instability to pressure both
the government and people of Nigeria into considering their nefarious policies
including the triplet-concepts of homosexuality-transgenderism, GMO foods, and
indiscriminate mass vaccination.
Below is an extract of the report from Channels TV on the most
recent terror events, which all happened at Gwoza town, same day Saturday 29th
June:
“Eighteen people were killed on Saturday when
four suicide bombers set off improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Gwoza,
Borno State, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has said.
The attack, one of
the deadliest reported in the state in recent months, injured more than 30
persons. The degree of injuries ranges from abdominal ruptures to skull and
limb fractures.
The Director-General of SEMA, Barkindo Saidu, said he witnessed
the first blast.
“In
my presence, at about 3 pm, the first bomb blast in Gwoza occurred, detonated
by a female suicide bomber in the midst of the marriage ceremony celebration,”
he wrote in a situation report later in the day.
“It affected more than 30 persons with various levels of
injuries and instant death. Some minutes later, another blast occurred around
General Hospital.”
A
survivor said the first bomber was carrying a baby on her back when she stormed
the venue and detonated the IED.
As people gathered
to bury those killed at the wedding, Saidu said a third bomber, a lady,
detonated another IED with a lot of casualties.
While emergency officials were in the hospital coordinating the
rescue mission, a fourth blast was set off by a female teenager.
“So far, 18 deaths comprise children, adult males, females, and
pregnant women. 19 seriously injured were conveyed to Maiduguri in four
ambulances,” Saidu said.”
