The D-Day is here! The climax of the epic, generations-long battle
for the destiny of Nigeria is kicking off.
For too long, we Christians have lamented, written tomes of
analyses, traded blame, cursed… We have complained
about the leadership of the Church being feckless, and unable to mobilize Christian
action against the unending persecution in the hand of Jihadists. Against the open Jihadists agenda of transforming
the Sahel into a hub for global terrorism
Now by the grace of God, the leadership of the Pentecostal
Fellowship of Nigeria, has taken the bull by the horn, summoning courage, and
against considerable odds, to call the Church out for a 3-day Fasting and
Prayer.
The question is WILL THE CHURCH INDEED HEED THIS CALL AND
RISE TO FAST AND PRAY FOR NIGERIA? WILL YOU
PARTICIPATE?
Three days of Fasting did the impossible saving Nineveh from
already settled destruction. The same
spiritual exercise reversed the apparent irreversible proclamation of certain doom
against the Jewish nation in the days of Esther and Mordecai.
The three days of Fasting and Prayer, called by the PFN
starts today Friday 22nd May and concludes on Pentecost Day, Sunday
24th May, 2026.
Historically, this landmark period marked the birth of the Jewish
nation with the receiving of the Law at Sinai (Exodus 19). It was also the exact same day that marked
the birth of the Church, as the Holy Ghost descended on God’s people as
recorded in Acts 2. May it birth a glorious
new Nigeria, in Jesus name.
Church Arise! hereby passionately encourages ALL Christians
in Nigeria (Pentecostal or not) to heed this Call and earnestly participate in
the 3-day exercise. Surely the challenges
involved in fasting for 3 days can not be compared with the trauma of spending just
3 hours at the den of darkness currently ravaging our nation in various
nomenclature: Bandits, Jihadists, Herdsmen, Kidnappers, and the rest!
With spiritual forces (sorcery and spells) coupled with international
socio-political lobbying currently swaying God-ordained assistance to and fro, vigorously
like a pendulum over Nigeria; this is the exact Kairos time for us to put in
all efforts possible for the final push to usher in our desired break-through. Israel delayed the push by just 24 hours in
Numbers 14, with catastrophic consequences.
May the Church in Nigeria not miss this our Day of Visitation, in Jesus
name.
Remember “If My people…..” !
Remember, God still answers prayer! Indeed, the effective
fervent prayer of every single Believer, does avail much! (Jas 5:16). And also, God still does recognize hardworking
“husbandmen”, ensuring they partake in the fruits (2 Tim 2:6).
So, dear Living Stone, do not allow ANY EXCUSE WHATSOEVER, to
stop you from partaking in this historic Call to Prayer and Fasting for the
deliverance of our nation Nigeria.
