Still on the Social Media warfare against Pastor Adeboye: Et Tu, Alex?

Shocked, saddened, and very disappointed seeing this clip from Alex Barbir, the young American missionary we have always admired and recommended.

This situation of Christians bandying to attack other Christians (even revered Elders of the Faith) can only indicate that the Jihadists' desperate spells are afflicting many in the Church at this critical stage of the battle.

But the truth is, the end is in sight for the enemy. Only that each of us enlisted into the fray, should take heed to ourselves as we contend against the enemy.

For the sake of clarity, my response to Alex Barbir is that blaming President Tinubu is totally futile in the situation confronting us. Other Presidents before him (even military ones) have openly declared that the problem is beyond them.  What Pastor Adeboye said about the abject limitation of the President in the current situation is what every informed Christian Patriot has been saying all along.  See for example: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1JGnvYWF8X/.  [Those new to our blog can also Search the site to see our personal opinion, endlessly repeated, on President Tinubu, and the challenges facing our country.]

Today, ;by the grace of God, we finally are at the verge of breaking this age-long siege, and as the saying goes, it is always darkest just before dawn.  What we should be doing is to join voices with the likes of Pastor Adeboye, asking for Nigerian Christians in the diaspora to pressurise their home governments, and together with Donald Trump,  provide the required "external force" required to move the so-called" unmovables and untouchables" in Nigeria.

Here's the link to Alex Barbir's unfortunate vituperation.

I'm extremely disappointed in you, Alex, for these unwarranted outbursts. Why could you not simply watch the entire video of Pastor Adeboye's speech, (as you obviously have not done) before this kind of response?

The essence of Pastor Adeboye's submission is what knowledgeable patriots with deep understanding of the issues (such as Rev Ladi Thomson of Macedonia Initiative, for instance) are saying: THE PROBLEM IS WAY BEYOND THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA!

(You may wish to compare it with the Hezbollah situation in Lebanon, for instance, if you understand that).

Pastor Adeboye made one of the most powerful appeals for external involvement in the Nigerian situation (citing Newton's 1st Law of motion). That took an incredible chunk of courage!

He wisely douses this highly effective appeal, as a Nigerian elder would do, by making it clear to the President that the call is not a personal attack. And that single statement is all you could latch on to, in the entire address!

In reality, that statement doesn't in any way reduce the weight of the appeal for urgent external intervention.  If anything, it only heightens it!

But while one might excuse your ignorance of germaine facts such as stated above, noting you're probably influenced by other people trying to use you as their mouthpiece, your choice of language is absolutely shocking and totally inexcusable!

Even if you don't think much of the Biblical injunction to respect age, you should at least have been cautioned to respect the fact that Pastor Adeboye has thousands of Churches (and at least an IDP camp) in those very areas you claim you are outdoing him in charitable works!

We are talking of finally ending a gargantuan age-long crisis, and you quible about the houses you are building for some of the victims!

Shocking and sad. I seriously think you you apologise to the old man. He has a large heart and would probably overlook.

PS. I will be posting this response on my blog at ChurchArise..blogspot.com
