Environmental Terrorism: Is Al-Qaida responsible for U.S. wildfires?

It is well accepted that several of the ferocious and economically damaging wildfires being recorded in the US are not just due to nature (e.g. lightnings) or human accidents (eg from campfires), but deliberate arsons.  In what could be the ultimate nightmare and probably a game changer in the fight against terrorism, security agencies in the US are now openly discussing the possibility that even those arsonists might not be just regular wicked neighbours or people looking for insurance money, but Al Qaida operatives, intent on crumbling the US economically, from within.
The World News Daily (WND) reported a former National Security Agency official , William Scott, as saying “U.S. officials have pretty much determined that some of the fires that burned in California [in 2011] were ignited by al-Qaida operatives.”
Furthermore, the WND reported in June,  that an expert on Islamic terrorism stopped just short of declaring  a wildfire that ravaged the outskirts of Colorado Springs, Colorado as linked with terrorism.  He was quoted as saying: “One thing that my investigators have given me the authority to state is that they have all but ruled out natural causes as the cause of this fire.”  That single fire resulted in the death of two people and destroyed more than 500 homes.  Total damage is expected to be in the neighbourhood of $120 million.
Last year, al-Qaida’s English-language online magazine, Inspire, reportedly published an article called ‘It Is of Your Freedom to Ignite a Firebomb,’ which featured instructions on how to build an incendiary bomb to light forests on fire.  Similarly, the Christian Broadcasting Network reported al-Qaida was advising would-be terrorists how best to burn America.  The terror group’s magazine included pictures,  detailed diagrams and explanations on how to start fires to obtain the most damage without leaving any trace.
Forests in other places including Israel and Europe are also reported to have been targeted.  Indeed, according to the WND,  Russia’s security chief, Aleksandr Bortnikov, has affirmed that “Al-Qaida was complicit in recent forest fires in Europe” as part of terrorism’s “strategy of a thousand cuts.”
As early as ten years ago the World News Daily  had reported that the FBI was already conscious that  national forests in the West could be the next target for terror by Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaida network. Documents captured by the British intelliience service M16 were said to have indicated that al-Qaida would like to launch a “global fireball” by lighting forest fires in Europe, the United States, Australia and South America.
According to the WND  websites run by jihadis have actually laid claims to some of the wildfires in California.  See details of these developments in the original article by WND at http://www.wnd.com/2013/09/are-terrorists-setting-u-s-wildfires/.
Now how does the world respond to such a horrendous development?    It’s a logic that stares one right in the face: we can only expect more curtailing of individual liberties and global collaborations.   Both responses would only serve to hasten the coming of the anti-christ – and of course, the preceding Rapture of the Church to meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the air. Have you made your reservation for the flight?
