EXIT SHARON: END OF A GENERATION

Ariel Sharon, highly decorated general and much respected Israeli politician and former Prime Minister gave up the ghost on Saturday 11th January 2014 at the age of 85.  He had been in a state of coma for exactly eight years and a week, since January 4, 2006.

Considered as a war hero by Israelis, most Arabs insist Sharon is a war criminal.  What everybody agrees on is that Sharon was one man who would do whatever he considered necessary, especially for the safety of Israel, without caring about the opinion of foes or even friends. (see some biographies here  and here  )

Of much prophetic interest is the fact that the exit of Sharon clearly marks at least the beginning of the end of the 1st generation Israeli that moved into Eretz Israel at the beginning of the last century.  He played very prominent roles in the landmark 1948 war of independence and the 6-day war of 1967 when Israel took possession of Jerusalem (including the Temple Mount) for the first time after nearly 2,000 years of its being trodden down by the gentiles (Luke  21:24).

Sharon enjoyed remarkable respect and popularity in Israel.  As Prime Minister in 2005, he ordered the unilateral withdrawal of Israel from Gaza.  He was at the brink of a more extensive peace treaty, when he suddenly went into a coma on January 4, 2006.  At that time he was set to achieving a landslide electoral victory with his new Kadima party.  That event, which could hardly be considered a happen-stance, effectively pushed back the much prophesied-about and eagerly-anticipated peace treaty between Arabs and the Jews. (see our article Hospitalization of Sharon further complicates Middle East Peace Process )

Further adding to the enigma of Sharon is a prophecy by the venerated Jewish Rabbi, Yitzhak Kaduri.  Before his death on January 28 2006 at the age of 108, Rabbi Kaduri reportedly left a note in which he stated “that he met the Messiah, who will come shortly after the death of Ariel Sharon.” Even more uncharacteristic of a Jewish Rabbi, Kaduri reportedly asserted that “the name of the Messiah is Jesus Christ….” (http://www.alamongordo.com/prophetic-predictions-rabbi-yitzhak-kaduri/).
And so continues the convergence of prophecies from all manner of traditions, proclaiming that the end is near.

As we pointed out in an article in 2006, virtually every spiritual expression around is confidently announcing that some world-ruling figure is about to emerge from their particular platform.  New agers boast of their coming Grand Master/Avatar/etc while faithful Shiites frantically prepare the grounds for their Mahdi.  Ardent Catholics expectantly combine the ongoing preparations for the centennial of the Fatima apparition with the famed prophecy that the current Pope would be the last, to conclude that something grand and unusual is about to unfold.  Even Secularists (whether they be scientists, economists, sociologists, etc) all concur that the present world order cannot continue much longer.  And of course the Bible is emphatic that the coming of  the Lord is at hand. (see  Of the coming Saviours, Messiahs, Avatars and Divine Teachers)

As we have repeatedly warned, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the fake anti-christ might as well happen simultaneously.  While the saints are raptured and proceed to meet the Lord in the air (1 Cor 15:52, 1 Thess.4:16-17), for a 7 year rendezvous, the antichrist will take the centre stage  on earth with his 7 year peace plan. (These 7 years are the last outstanding "week" of Daniel 9: 25-27 which is appointed unto the Jewish people.)

Anyone who still maintains that it is business as usual on planet earth in this clime, deserves the grand Ostrich award for naivety. And for a quick brief on how to personally prepare kindly check John 14:1-3, 23ff.
