Luring of society into total microchip dependence unabating

VeriChip Corporation has announced that it has completed the development of a new, smaller human-implantable RFID microchip measuring approximately 8 millimeters by 1 millimeter. The new, smaller microchip has been developed specifically to be incorporated into Medical Components, Inc.'s ("Medcomp") vascular ports. The Company's existing microchip, used as part of its VeriMed™ Health Link system for patient identification, measures approximately 11 millimeters by 1 millimeter.

Similarly, from Dubai came the report (May 11) that Emirates NBD is issuing to its customers, a wristwatch featuring contactless payment capabilities. With the watch on their wrists, customers can make purchases of up to $27 and just simply walk out of the stores without any need to sign any receipt. (Signatures are required for larger purchases). The watches are made by Laks GmbH, which provides similar products to Vakif Bank in Turkey.
