Churches embracing Islamic prayers

While Islamic foot soldiers continue to vex the Church of God in their personal capacities, and the Grand Muftis mobilize state powers against Christianity, it’s incredible seeing Christians and churches foolishly fall over themselves trying to befriend Islam - even at the cost of their own faith! This is most tragic indeed. In our 2011 article, Cooperation and Tolerance gone too far, we reported a number of examples, including the German Pastor who actually tried to raise money for the building of an imposing mosque in Germany!  Unfortunately there seems to be no end to this kind of saddening situation. We consider a few recent examples:

At the campus of Duke University in North Carolina, the moslem call to prayer, will now be broadcast from the Chapel tower.  The chant, known as the ‘adhan’, is usually made on the minaret of mosques to invite Moslem faithful to worship.  But for the past two years, the Muslim Students Association have been accommodated at the basement of the University Chapel, and they now have convinced the Chapel authority to allow them broadcast the ‘adhan’ from the Chapel tower. If the Chapel tower in a University set up by the Methodist and Quakers can be used to function as a Mosque  Minnaret, how then could anyone blame Recep Erdogan of Turkey who is converting one after the other the old grand churches in the land to mosques?  

 Church of England vicar Rev. Canon Giles Goddard certainly would not see any problem with the situation at Duke University in the US.  The Canon is happy to open up his own Church, the St John’s Church, Waterloo, as part of an “Inclusive Mosque” event where copious thanks were rendered to "the God that we love, Allah."   (Details at http://www.charismanews.com/world/48756-church-of-england-pastor-welcomes-muslim-prayer-service ).

In the US, “radically inclusive” churches actually do more than pray to Allah.  All religions, and all lifestyles are welcome.  You are not only welcome to come just as you are, you are encouraged to so remain.  According to this article, Church services that incorporate elements of Hinduism, Islam, native American religions and even Wicca are becoming increasingly common.

At the same time however, Christianity continues to be the object of unrelenting attacks by the world. For instance Victoria Wasteney, a senior occupational health therapist at a mental hospital in East London was relieved of her job simply because she prayed for a troubled colleague who had sought her assistance.  However, since that colleague was a Moslem, praying for her in the name of Jesus was deemed “harassment and bullying”, and sufficient ground for a sack!
