TIME TO PRAY FOR NIGERIA – KINDLY JOIN THE MOVEMENT!

There can be little gainsaying the fact that Nigeria is currently passing through her most critical days in recent history  Government has come out to boldly declare that it would significantly curtail and degrade the Boko haram menace within 6 weeks. (One week already gone!)  Both sides are then going to be throwing everything within their arsenal into the fray – these 6 weeks will determine so many things!

But the ultimate decider will not be the military alliances or the new hardwares.  Like history has consistently shown, the ultimate power is in the prayer of the saints

Queen Mary Tudor of Scotland famously retorted: I fear the prayers of John Knox than all the armies of England.  Back home in Nigeria, Sanni Abacha realized he needed to neutralize the praying man at Redemption Camp if his political intrigues were to succeed

If every there is a time that Nigeria needs prayer, it’s NOW!

Thank God for the prayer momentum gradually gathering: For instance, the historic Intercessors without Walls prayer conference spearheaded by Nigeria prays.Gethsemane, IFN, Wailing Women and others held powerfully for three days in January.

Currently making the rounds on social media is an appeal which CA! would like to enthusiastically endorse.  But we will like to suggest that any Nigerian who is not ready to join and participate in the prayers need not bother forwarding the mail to others – lest it becomes a mere social media campaign, rather than real prayer campaign!  The appeal is that we all stop whatever we are doing every 9.00 pm to pray for one minute for the safety of Nigeria, the victory of our troops against Boko Haram and all similar manifestation of insurgency, and very importantly, the restoration of godly values in Nigeria.

Below is the appeal as transmitted on Social Media:

PLEASE JOIN US: Evening Prayer
Someone has said that if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available thrugh prayer, we might be speechless.

Did you know that during WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group  of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace?
“There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in Nigeria.  If you would like to participate: Every evening at 9:00 pm, STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AND SPEND ONE MINUTE PRAYING for the safety of  Nigeria, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a godly nation.  If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along.  Our prayers are the most powerful asset  we have.

Please forward this to your praying friends.
