Appeal to Ambassador of Norway in Nigeria to intervene on the Bodnariu Family case

Greetings from Ile-Ife, Osun state; and compliments of the season.

My name is Joshua Ojo. Professor of Physics at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and publisher of the Christian newsletter Church Arise! (www.churcharise.org).

My wife Joanna and I are writing to request your kind intervention in the case of Marius and Ruth Bodnariu whose 5 children are currently at fosters at the instance of the Barnevernet in Norway.

From the clear evidences in the case, Marius and Ruth are loving responsible diligent parents.  The witness of both the school principal (who initially invited the Barnevernet) and the medical checks clearly indicated the children have not been subjected to anything that could be called physical abuse.  Yet, the children are even right now, separated from their parents, apparently because some government functionaries do not endorse of the Christian religious convictions of the Bodnarius.

If the situation is not urgently redressed, it might be difficult undoing the present trauma these children are being subjected to.

So we humbly request your kind intervention with the authorities back at Norway to ensure the speedy return of the 5 children to their biological parents.
