THE PROPAGANDA WAR: READERS BEWARE
By the way, did anybody notice how summary "extra-judicial" killings by Hamas attract little outcry from Amnesty International and similar Human rights organizations? Indeed according to a UN report, summary executions has become rather commonplace in places like Syria and Gaza where Moslem Jihadists hold sway, but apparently, who cares? Contrast that to the "Civillian JTF" in Nigeria identifying about 35 Boko Haram operatives from a parade of about 300 men in jihadists' hotbed, Bama; and the whole international press goes aflame crying of atrocities by Nigerian military (who are collaborating with the Civilian JTF). It was exactly such outcries that forced the SSS to release terror kingpin Aminu Ogwuche, who ended up killing over 75 innocent lives in the Nyanya explosion, not counting others he is indirectly associated with.
Also while the international press, both mainstream and social media, considered it reasonable NOT to post the graphic video of the execution of American journalist James Foley, by a British Jihadist under the umbrella of ISIS, obviously such considerations don’t matter when the storyline is based in a place like Nigeria.
The international press decided they would not give ISIS the cheap publicity it is looking for by refusing to post the video made available; yet they go out of their way to post full length propaganda videos, and even outright fabrications made by Boko Haram. See our previous article
Since there is apparently nothing anybody can do from stopping people from casting news the way they prefer to have it case, the onus is on the readers to be extra-discerning in their reception and further propagation of such news items.
HAMAS "VICTORY" - - Bassam Tawil
The very informative article below, by Bassam Tawil, a Palestinian scholar, will broaden your perspectives concerning the just concluded 50-day war between Hamas and Israel. Hamas has to claim victory obviously to save face, and re-position itself for the next round of war - who knows when. As pointed out by Israel's spokesperson, the points in the eventual ceasefire document were exactly those accepted by Israel, and rejected by Hamas, since early July! Obviously, Hamas had to finally concede to those points when Israel began taking the battle right to Hamas leadership.
*********************************************************************
An Arab proverb says, "First he hit me, then, before I could accuse him, he complained" -- meaning, "It all started when he hit me back."
These days, every loyal Palestinian finds it very frustrating to listen to Hamas boast about its great victory against the Jews in Albunyan Almarsus, what the Israelis call Operation Protective Edge, while it complains that the Jews committed war crimes in Gaza.
These complaints recall the pathetic way Arabs boast to convince themselves that they won every war the Israelis defeated them in.
There is nothing more bizarre, though, than Hamas's complaints about the "war crimes" it accuses Israel of committing. According to Article 7 of the Hamas charter, the Hamas movement has a religious and national duty to kill all the Jews in Palestine -- and everyplace else:
Before Israel built its security fence, Hamas suicide bombers would go from the West Bank to Israeli territory and blow up hundreds of Israelis in buses, discotheques, hotels, restaurants, and markets.
Hamas's commitment "to fight the Jews and kill them" has also been seen in Operation Protective Edge: Hamas's rockets exclusively targeted Jewish population centers, large and small.
Its truly massive attack against Israel, however, according to Hamas members captured by the IDF and interrogated, was not planned for July, but for the end of September, when, on the eve of the Jewish New Year, hundreds of terrorists wearing IDF uniforms would pour out of its tunnels to kill or kidnap hundreds of Israelis.
Hamas was forced to act earlier, it seems, after the forces of Egypt's President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, destroyed Hamas's smuggling tunnels along the Egyptian-Gazan border. Hamas found itself being slowly strangled. Even the most recent payment of $30 million promised by terrorist-funder Qatar never reached the Gaza Strip. Hoping for a way out of its financial straits, Hamas joined the Palestinian Authority [PA] in a national consensus government so that money from Qatar could "legally" be sent to the Gaza Strip from Ramallah. The funds, however, stayed in Ramallah.
Hamas had yet another plan: to win the PA elections, wrest control from Fatah and throw Mahmoud Abbas onto history's garbage heap. The Israeli and PA security forces recently detained 94 Hamas operatives, and seized weapons, ammunition, explosives and large amounts of money. It seems the cardboard false front of the national consensus government was to be used to engineer a Hamas palace takeover in the West Bank, similar to the one in the Gaza Strip in 2007.
Close to the date of the elections, Hamas abducted and murdered three Jewish teenagers, as admitted last week by senior Hamas operative Salah al-Arouri at a Muslim Brotherhood conference in Turkey. Hamas, it appears, had been hoping to use the boys as "Get Out of Jail Free" cards for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons -- all acts that would boost Hamas's popularity in the West Bank and ensure a win in the elections.
The result of the abduction was that the IDF launched Operation Brothers' Keeper, which included destroying Hamas's network in the West Bank, and re-arresting several terrorist operatives who had been released in a prisoner exchange deal for the Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit.
This Operation exerted additional pressure on Hamas, which began bombarding Israel's towns and cities with rockets, and then sent several terrorist squads into Israel through its tunnels, evidently hoping for some kind of showcase attack. Some of the terrorists succeeded in killing IDF soldiers, some of the terrorists were killed, and others succeeded in returning to the Gaza Strip.
Hamas went on to violate over six ceasefire agreements proposed by Israel and one proposed by itself.
Hamas did succeed in scaring Israel to the point where 80,000 reserve soldiers were called up. Hamas even managed to cause foreign airlines to stop flying into Israel's international airport for three days, sending Hamas's leadership into a state of euphoria which led it to ramp up even further its rocket attacks against the Israeli civilian population.
In view of the rocket attacks and the terrorist tunnels, only some of which were known to Israeli intelligence, Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu had no choice but to authorize a military action. He hesitated, and tried for four days to delay a military response. He proposed ceasefire after ceasefire, and told the Palestinians again and again, "Quiet will be met with quiet" -- to no avail. Unfortunately for Gaza's civilian population, the leaders of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad mistook Netanyahu's remarks as signs of weakness.
The Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad leadership waged their war from deep underground bunkers, beneath high-rise buildings and below Gaza's showcase Al-Shifa Hospital. The leadership left the civilian population above ground and urged them onto the roofs of buildings or to stay home and receive the strikes that were coming toward their weapons stockpiles and rocket launchers. Waging war from five-star hotels in Qatar or bunkers under Gaza's urban landscape, Hamas's leaders positioned these rocket launchers next to hospitals, schools, mosques, UNRWA facilities, residential complexes and even hotels where foreign media personnel were staying.
It was the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad leaders, not the Israelis, who are the war criminals. It was these Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad leaders who were responsible for the civilian deaths of more than two thousand Gazans, while they safely hid and only claimed that they wanted to be shaheeds [martyrs].
While the Hamas leadership threw the Gazan civilians to their bitter fate, the Israelis used the safe rooms they had built for their civilians and their Iron Dome aerial defense system to keep their own civilians safe. Not relying solely on Iron Dome, the IDF sent infantry units to the front lines inside the Gaza Strip to protect Israel's home front. The Israel Air Force attacked rocket and mortar shell launchers; its ground forces destroyed 32 terrorist tunnels that led from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.
Its tunnels into Israel were blown up; the rockets smuggled in from Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Korea were neutralized; thousands of civilians were killed and tens of thousands of Gazan homes were destroyed, and yet the Hamas leadership continues claiming victory.
What is sad is that the Gazans have not managed to free themselves from the yoke of Hamas, and the world seems still not to understand the problems genuinely facing the Palestinians.
Even more important, the world seems not to understand that Hamas, like ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood, does not exist in a vacuum. It is one cog in the radical Islamist wheel which threatens the Arab-Muslim world, and which already has a foothold in the major cities of Europe. Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood are the petri dishes of the political Islamists threatening the world order.

Narrated Abu Hraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."Throughout Hamas's existence, it has striven to carry out this duty, killing and maiming thousands of Israelis along the way.

EBOLA FEAR: (Ajayi TolulopE Israel)
Ajayi Tolulope Isreal posted in GREAT IFE STUDENTS' UNION
Several
years ago, Ebola virus erupted in Africa, killing thousands without restraint
or cure. The medical world was perplexed. A great man of God by the name John
G Lake came to the rescue. Laying hands on infected people who were not to be touched.
The slightest contact with any secretion from an infected person is all it takes
for transmission. But with bare hands, cleaning secretion and curing every victim,
John G Lake along with his Holy Ghost filled team, brought to an abrupt end the
spread of the deadly virus. When asked by the medical world how he did it. He had
this to say: I have the life of God in me, every virus that comes in contact with
me dies. He asked them to get an innoculum from an infected person, observe
same
under a microscope to ascertain viral activities in it. They did and confirmed living
and multiplying virus. He then asked them to put the innoculum on his palm and
observe under the microscope. This time there were no more activities. ALL WERE DEAD
upon contact with him. What a life! Every child of God has this life! He that
has
the Son has this life! That higher life that put out Ebola in the days of John
G Lake
will do the same through you in your day! At the Name of Jesus, Ebola will bow out!
Stop the fear!
Let this message of hope and faith go viral and the Ebola viral
Let this message of hope and faith go viral and the Ebola viral
spread
will stop! Don't disdain the ever living words of Jesus: And these signs shall
follow them that believe, in my Name, they shall cast out devils, they shall speak
with new tongues, they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing
(Ebola virus included) it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hand on the sick
(those
already infected) and they shall recover - Mark 16:15-18.
John
G Lake and team are long gone! But I am here, you are here! We can save our
world!
We
have the life of God in us!
Spread
the faith!
Stop
the fear!
Spread
the life!
Stop
the death!

we can!!!

OSUN STATE: SOME POST GUBER ELECTION COMMENTS
We thank God for a peaceful
and successful gubernatorial election all over Osun state, yesterday 9th
August, 2014, with the results announced less than 24 hours later. We congratulate the INEC and the security forces
for a job very well done. We will like
to make the following comments, particularly, further to our rather intense pre-election
comments.
1. We believe without an iota
of doubts, that the outcome of the gubernatorial election is exactly what the
Lord wants.
2. We similarly have no doubts that the Lord knew
what the outcome would be, right from the beginning of the processes.
3. We are also firmly convinced that what the Lord asked us to do, identifying and
documenting critical issues affecting the Church, with respect to the policies
and dispositions of the incumbent, was not done in vain. It was an action that needed to be
implemented; and we can only be grateful that we are part of the Lord’s
limitless resources that He chose to mobilize to raise those issues at this point
in time.
4. We dare to believe that our little effort,
under the guidance of Him Who gave us the commission, and the various responses
to it within and without the Body of Christ, has accomplished what the Lord
would have it achieved. And the situation
has significantly changed from what it could have been without such efforts.
5. The issues involved have of course not ended
with the elections. As we pointed out
several times, the issues transcend whoever would emerge victorious at the elections. Even though it might appear to us that the
current outcome would require more demands of the Church, the key issue, as
Pastor Bosun Emmanuel rightly said in his Wake-up Call message to the Church in
Nigeria, is that we need to learn to develop and maintain the right priorities. Every member of the Church needs to learn to
appreciate Kingdom issues, and be ready to make sacrifices. The leadership of CAN/PFN would need to
develop effective mechanisms and platforms to connect with, and mobilize the
Church. (We will like to point out that possible foundations for such platforms and networks in SW Nigeria were initiated at the recently held Yoruba Christian Leaders Assembly, YCLA, at Ile-Ife)
6. All said and done, the
greater and even more urgent battle remains that for personal holiness, purity
and obedience in the lives of individual Christians as we await the coming of
the Lord Jesus.
7. Whether personally or corporately, Christians need to
take heed, watch, and pray for the days are extremely evil, and will only continue to worsen!
Eternal vigilance is the non-negotiable price for liberty (Mark 13:33, Rev. 12:12).
Finally we
congratulate the incoming governor Aregbesola and pray he will be a more
discerning and wiser governor than the incumbent, outgoing Aregbesola. We pray he too (like the increasing number of
traditional rulers and priests in Yorubaland who are now turning to the Lord
Jesus) will come to see the utter futility of idol worship; and learn to
distinguish between spiritual servitude on one hand, and loyalty to our
cherished cultural heritages on the other.
We thank the many who wrote to encourage us and affirm our efforts, as
well as those who wrote to express their reservations. As taught by Scriptures,
we can say with a clear conscience: “We are
unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” Luke 17:10

WHY CHURCH ARISE! IS AGAINST THE RE-ELECTION OF MR RAUF AREGBESOLA
As the countdown begins to
our local gubernatorial election at Osun State, Church Arise! wishes to
underscore just why we consider ourselves duty-bound to mobilize the Church
against the incumbent. The one and
only one reason is that Mr Aregbesola, who perceives himself as Oranmiyan
re-incarnate, passionately considers himself as being on a mission to return
the land to the dead gods of Yorubaland.
In a nutshell, Mr Aregbesola UNILATERALLY
decides one night that our name is now Osun’s State and no more Osun State; and
that our identity flag will be seven cowries arranged around the Ori Olokun and
other cultic symbolisms. In exchange for
these fundamental kingdom issues, Mr Aregbesola offers a network of roads and
promise of flamboyant school buildings as our mess of pottage.
Of course, there are serious
issues with roads built at unreasonably inflated costs and sourced from high
taxation - of which not less than 10% is
repatriated to Lagos as fees for the so-called Tax Consultants (even the road diggers are from Lagos!). There are also serious issues with
demolishing schools built by Christian missions and rebuilding them with money
sourced from the Islamic bond, Sukkuk,
which demands that assets procured must be Shariah-compliant. Indeed there are issues with virtually every
legacy projects being claimed by Mr Aregbesola – school uniforms, opon imo, O-Yes, etc, because as we
pointed out earlier, a tree rooted in evil can simply not bring out any real
good for the people. But frankly
speaking, we could leave all these to the politicians to trash out.
What the Church cannot afford
leave to politics is the evident missionary zeal and commitment of Mr
Aregbesola to use state machinery,
authority, and funds to coerce the land and people back into idolatory. The combined assault of revived idolatory and
Islamic militancy (evident by Aregbesola’s concessions on Hijrah day, Hijab,
etc) can be likened to the sharp crooked stick that needs to be avoided from
long range to avoid being blinded (Prov. 22:3).
The stories of Christians being crucified and massacred in hundreds
emerging from the Middle East in the last few hours, not to talk of ongoing
atrocities by Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria and the FCT are enough wake-up
call for the complacent Church in SW Nigeria to arise and take necessary action
while there is still time.
While the Church remains on
this planet, we are called to oppose and resist the full blown manifestation of
evil and iniquities (2 Thess. 2:6-7).
The antichrist will still have his opportunity some day, but not while
we are yet around!
Mr Aregbesola needs to be
told that the Church is aware of his moves, and that we are serious about doing
something about it. The only legitimate
action at this auspicious time, apart from prayers of course, is to mobilize
ourselves and protect our vital interests with our votes.
Kindly forward this to every
ELIGIBLE VOTER you know in Osun State, and post on other media as you consider
appropriate.

ISLAMAZATION AGENDA FOR NIGERIA (BOSUN EMMANUEL)
With a few days to the gubernatorial election in Osun state, we consider it necessary to again come up with a commentary to expose the desperate moves to soil the image of the Church and her representatives in Nigeria. Our interest in this election is borne out not only by the fact that we are based in the State, but also inspired by recent information of how the Enemy plans to use the opportunity, if available, to introduce his agenda with possible far reaching consequences for the Church of God.
