NEW NIGERIA IN PROGRESS: ACT 1 – EXIT THE FULANI

To the Fulani hegemonists, the incredible has just happened: they are out of power!

In the past month or so, apparently spurred by the imminence of their erstwhile unimaginable exit from power, the Fulani machinery went into overdrive – in an orgy of continuous vicious killings on the field, (particularly in the middle belt); accompanied by a spree of shameless open looting of the national treasury, in the office.

Nevertheless, by the grace and supreme wisdom of the almighty God the “baboon-and-dog” bloody nightmare has finally gone full cycle, and new possibilities beckon.

It should be clear that the Fulani hegemonists had no exit plan at all.  Having brazenly captured all of state apparati for coercion (Police, DSS, Immigration, Customs, Correctional, Army, Navy, Air force, Military Intelligence, Civil defense etc); all key Revenue earners (from the Ports, IRS, to the NNPC); and all the  key sectors like the Digital Economy, and Education  - where virtually all the top offices in every agency (Technical, Polytechnic, and University eduation,  TETFUND, WAEC, JAMB, etc) were in their pocket, it was as clear as daylight that the Fulanis were not out just to greedily grab as much of the national cake while it was their “turn”, they actually were digging in for a very long stay.

For those who initially wallowed in a denial of this evil agenda, choosing to adamantly explain off all the clear signs in terms of religion and economics, the reality finally dawned with the Fulani’s desperate push to establish an exclusive homeland for themselves in all the 774 local governments in the federation (at the nation’s expense) in the name of RUGA.  And the corresponding efforts to take over all the water resources through their evil Water Resources Bill.  All of these were simultaneously accompanied by massive importation of Fulanis from all over the sahel into Nigeria to take over lands and villages being plundered by their infamous militia (so-called bandits and herdsmen) while the repeatedly-postponed national census was scheduled to coincide with the climax of all these developments!

The agenda indeed seemed solid and unassailable!  With the decisive clampdown on the major ethnic agitators (particularly Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho) all seemed set to see the entire Nigerian nation go the way of the northern region, where the Fulanis had successfully deployed their sorcery-laden Islamism and subtlety to overthrow erstwhile formidable and well-established indigenous populations since 1804.  But thankfully, the Lord of Hosts had made up His mind to intervene, and the unceasing prayers of the Church were apparently not without impact!

At the whiff of failure, the hegemonists contemplated the Taliban option, as recently played out in Afghanistan: overrun the State House and set up an interim government which would consolidate their emerging structures and irreversibly seal the fate of Nigeria.  The whole nation watched aghast, as there was first an incredible high-profile train hijack, leading to an audacious jail-break at the nation’s capital resulting in the release of top jihadist Commanders, who reportedly were to lead the final assault at Aso Rock.  Providentially, the State Security Services, sidelining the other security agencies, took the unprecedented action of bringing in American troops to operate on Nigerian soil, breaching the evil operations, reportedly at the nick of time!

So, the hegemonist-Fulanis became constrained to the elections, which as we explained previously, was an unattractive Plan B.

Evidently, the plan was to get the 2 main parties to field Fulani presidential candidates in what would be an irreproachable clean and credible election, so the nation can have her choice between the devil and the deep blue sea.  When this was foiled by the now famous “Emi l’o kan” refrain, the Fulanis responded with the bitter petrol and currency hoard, forcing the recalcitrant non-Fulani candidate to resort to desperate gangsterism, open shamanism and sorcery, ethnic bigotry, and violent breaching of several sacrosanct aspects of the electoral rules in order to secure a victory which is consequently wide open to litigations on many credible fronts.

Bible students latching on God’s promises for a new Nigeria will see a Jehoshaphat-like Script (2 Chronicles 20:1-23) playing out here!   Hopefully, an independent-minded non-Fulani President will have a different attitude to the marauding Fulani bandits and the current unreasonably lopsided security architecture of the nation.  On the other hand, the nature of the ongoing litigations at the election tribunals is such that it is essentially the Judiciary itself that is on public trial!  Whatever pronouncements are made, the Judiciary is not likely to remain the same way it had been in the Fulani years!  Security and righteousness are major ingredients for a glorious nation and a positive turn around in these areas would be a great start for Nigeria.

“Church Arise!” believes we can all rejoice in the only-wise God Who has clearly secured for us this seemingly incredible victory in the first phase: the exit of the hegemonist-Fulanis from Aso rock and the possibilities of a new Nigeria emerging.  The One Who is called Alpha and Omega is surely able to lead us into a restructured all-inclusive Nigeria, rising to fulfill her God-ordained role as a sheep nation, standing up against evil globally in these end times.

Shalom!

Church Arise!

  1. This write up is incredible. Now we Christians can read the hand writing on the walls that the Sovereign God is all at work in the affairs of this nation. A lot of Christians have been misguided in thinking as mere men and not committing everything to God to work out His own will. May God help us to learn a great lesson from our political situation in Nigeria. Amen.Evang. Tosho Oluborode
